Transitioning Hair for Fall

When Fall comes around, most of us are more concerned about transitioning our wardrobes to the latest colors and trends. But what we don’t seem to realize is that we don’t just need to update our closet but we need to beef up our beauty routine.

Recently I was asked by CLEAR Scalp & Hair to review their shampoo and conditioner line for a few weeks while I transition my hair for Fall. To be completely honest, I had heard of CLEAR Scalp & Hair products, but really hadn’t heard many reviews or purchased the products before. Doing my due-diligence and digging deeper into the product I discovered that CLEAR Scalp & Hair is a global haircare brand formed to focus on nourishing the scalp, for strong, beautiful hair. They launched in the U.S. in 2012 and shifted the paradigm of how women care for their hair. For years, women focused on the ends of hair, when we should start treating our hair where it begins, our scalp. I had never truly focused on just my scalp because I always worried about split ends, shine, or heat damage.

To my surprise, after my first use, the one thing that stood out to me the most was the manageability of my hair. Sure we all get knots and brushing our hair out after each shower is a pain, but my hair is a monster. Literally, each time I get out of the shower I consistently use detangler to attempt to reduce the punishment I am about to endure with brushing my hair. The after effects were so different this time around, brushing my hair was a lot quicker, less painful, and with a lot less product. I am a firm believer that the less you put on your hair the better it is, so not having to add detangler onto my daily routine was a huge bonus.

Secondly, after the combing and blow drying was complete, it wasn’t until after, but I realized my hair was extremely shiny. The shampoo and conditioner are formulated with Nutrium 10™, an advanced moisture complex of vitamins and nutrients including vitamins B5, C & E, sunflower, almond, soybean & coconut oils, glycerin & aloe vera, which gave my hair a rich glow.

And last but certainly not least I noticed a huge difference in … Dandruff. I absolutely hate and despise that word but it happens to all of us. Scalp skin is actually the same skin that we have on our arms, legs and the rest of our body – it has the same function and structure. So if we have dry skin on other part of our body, chances are we aren’t taking care of the rest of our skin. Weather can also have a strong effect on our scalps. So to my surprise after using the product after about a week, I started noticing a huge reduction in shedding and dandruff. Sure I didn’t have a flaky scalp but every so often I would find a random annoying dry patch. Knowing that I was remedying the problem just like I would if I had any other dry skin on my body was a good feeling.
