Everyone keeps obsessing over big scarves, sweaters, and hats, and I just can’t seem to get enough of leather. From leather skirts, pants, jackets, dresses, bags, and even leather accessories, you can never have too much. I have also been known to buy the same item in multiple colors as well. To me leather is a neutral, just like denim or even the color black. It goes with everything, its timeless, never loses its cool factor and it’s surprisingly comfortable. So what’s not to love?
Well for one, I’ll be honest, in leather pants/leggings I sometimes get a little nervous of how it will look. Sure I have more of a curvy shape and anything that exemplifies these qualities always make me question myself. Through the course of learning what compliments my body type, I have come to realize how flattering leather really is… on all body types. I would almost dub leather as the “Spanx” of clothing, making all bodies look smooth and streamline. The my advice that I would give to all those skeptical of how they look in leather would be, own it. Simply be confident and wear your clothing just like you would wear your favorite pair of jeans. You will never be able to appreciate how amazing leather is until you give it an honest chance. I would almost argue that leather, pants/leggings specifically may be one of the most important things a woman can own.
So given the chance that you already may be a leather lover like myself or are willing to give it a try, I have cut out the middle man and selected a few of my leather pieces below and will be wearing on the blog throughout the rest of fall. I won’t even lie, I have been waiting in pure excitement for Black Friday, and am slightly scared at the damage I am about to do on my bank account.
