If the month of October and the changing weather wasn’t enough for you, the colors of the leaves are a great indication that Fall is finally in full swing. What better way to cozy up than with a cape? This draped cousin of the coat is an easy way to add a layer, without the bulk of a coat, yet with the same structure. Inspired by its effortless look with dresses, I decided to wear my 3-year-old, never been touched cape. I worked it with my favorite sweater dress (which is also perfect for the chilly weather) along with my absolute favorite pair of ankle boots I own. These babies were my first Alexander Wang purchase—this was the start of my sick Alexander Wang obsession. From one of his first collections as a design genius, these Santa Claus gone biker heels seemed to work quite perfectly into my stylish super hero cape look.
I have seen capes everywhere. Literally, they are in every store, on everyone, and for good reason.
So bombs away, don’t save the cape – wear it today!
