Now that my pockets are completely empty and I am slowly but surly recovering from my post Thanksgiving shop-a-thon, things have started to get back into a day to day groove. Granted, it’s officially winter with less then 30 degree temperatures and I have started to come down with a bug, nothing can keep me down for too long. From now on it’s thick and cozy layers, thigh high boots, and regularly dressing myself up big fluffy jackets, like this faux fur ball I snagged last season.
Bottom line: Faux fur is the business. It not only looks like I walked off the set of “Almost Famous” but it blocks the wind, it’s extremely warm, and it gives that extra touch of glam that I certainly don’t mind adding onto any outfit. Fur as a whole may certainly have a negative reputation, but with the large availability of faux fur options on the market, it’s easy to stay animal friendly and bad ass at the same time. Pair a long version with a holiday dress for upcoming Christmas parties, or sport a faux fur bomber with your favorite tee shirt and destroyed jeans. No matter how you wear it, a faux fur jacket is a staple for every closet.

Omg, your coat is from last season and it’s faux fur? Your so lucky it still looks decent. My best friend purchased one last season from a well known designer store (i won’t mention the name) and by the end of the season, it looked terrible. I’ve never been a fan of faux fur and after seeing her coat, it didn’t help my belief. Did you brush your coat a lot to keep the synthetic fibers fluffy? Clearly you did something right. Aside from that, loving the shades! I love that large scale aviators, so chic.
