Last Friday, I was invited to ‘Camp Yosi’, a special event introducing Yosi Samara flats to the lovely ladies of SLC. We were invited to mingle with the designer himself and also learn about the history behind the shoe and the brand’s launch in 2009.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by candle light, marshmallow snowfall, and warm apple cider.
As the ladies came pouring in, I pondered over the flats and found it pretty interesting to see which ones each girl was attracted to. Most were drawn to the basic neutral colors and some opted for fun neon and snake skin options. Each girl was unique in their own way, which was fun to see in each of the shoes as well.

I opted for a mint patent pair. (When do you ever see mint flats?!)
Katie Waltman Jewelry, a local jewelry designer and shop owner, was also in attendance. She had set up an anklet bar where each girl could customize hers with added charms. Loved this idea!
I didn’t have much of a chance to wear the shoes that I picked that night, as I opted for a pair of five inch Brian Atwood’s to wear instead.
However, when I got home I put them right on, and was thrilled with how comfortable these flats are! Made of leather and a rubber sole, the quality and comfort are both extremely high, which I rarely ever find in shoes. The next day I easily convinced my sister and good friend to invest in a pair. They really are the every woman kind of shoe. Regardless of what you do, your age, or line of work, this shoe fits the bill.
