Being an avid fan of Peter Pilotto (before the Target collection), I always longed for their designs. Masters of pattern play and structure, they reminded me of two of my favorite brands, MSGM and Balenciaga.
Once the collection was announced, I knew it would be nearly impossible to wear this duo’s items without being recognized. Although, the one thing I’ve noticed through the launch’s advertising was the fact that everything within the Target collection has been styled to be more of a dressed up look: a night on the town, elegant date, girls night out… why not try styling it a bit different.
Wearing the mash of patterns really suits a laid back look; giving it an edge and a focal point allowing casual attire to have a much more fun approach.
How would you style the Peter Pilotto collection?

I don’t do flower prints so well, so for this collaboration, I’ll just see from the sideline. What I can say is that you’ve styled the top so well by mixing it with some masculine element like leather and the bomber.. very well paired! Do drop by my page and lets keep in touch! Following you on GFC

I’ve known Peter Pilotto for a few years, mainly because of a fashion documentary I once watched about the brand, but I was never really a fan. Their designs are a bit to “busy” for me I think, but I love how you styled this tee. By wearing all-black for the rest of the outfit, you’ve toned the print down and at the same time let it take center stage in this outfit! xo

Love the sporty chic look on you. The Peter Pilotto for Target was such a great collaboration. But I agree most of the look book was styled definitely more on the dressier side. So, its nice to see your floral top styled on the casual chic side. Great look!

I think floral prints look better with casual looks as its harder to spruce them up! 🙂

I really love how you styled this top. I was a bit hesitant on the collection, but it’s possible it’s because they marketed it as being more of a dress look, and I tend to be a bit more casual.
