What started as my Valentines gift to myself, turned into a full blown love affair. My MSGM jacket is my absolute favorite new piece for spring. The quilted composition and patchwork design literally blew my mind when seeing it up close. I know it’s quite loud, which also make it that much more exciting to me. Having one piece, that has enough personality to balance a whole outfit, makes pairing this jacket simple. Although, my all black enable is an easy choice for such a bold statement, I can’t wait to wear it with all white, a soft maxi, or with my full pink skirt.
Spring is about breaking out of those drab fall colors and making a statement. Whether that be with color, patterns, floral or fringe.
Make a bold move.

Lent day 10 update:
It’s Pi Day (3.14), and I won’t be eating any of that.
I’m not sure how you are all feeling about my nutrition updates, but writing it down most certainly helps the process and note how far I’ve come.
Like I’ve said, it takes 21 days to make or break a habit, and I am half way there. I guess cutting out sugars and white refined flour really makes you aware of what you are putting into your body.
Sugar seems to mask the true flavors food actually has and when you cut it out you begin to appreciate those flavors on a whole other level. Sounds absurd, sure, but sugar is added to make things taste “better”. In reality it actually desensitizes our taste buds while pumping our brains into overdrive, making us crave it the second we see it, and or are missing it in our diet. Not only is the fight hard enough but there are so many different types of sugars added into food, it’s most certainly hard to keep track of them all, which is why I just try to cut it out altogether (unless its naturally occurring, such as in fruit etc.).
OK, enough about my vent session on sugar. If you want to find out more, check out this article here.
On a happy note lent has helped me become a much better cook. In fact, it just really makes me cook a lot, making me extremely cautious yet informed about what I actually put into my body. With that being said I wanted to share a really simple, fool proof dinner that you honestly can cook in NO TIME (almost).
Lemon pepper salmon with parmesan baked asparagus.
Simple, clean, healthy and no sugar! 🙂
To prep all you need is:
Fresh asparagus
Frozen salmon filet (no one has time to thaw it either)
Kraft parmesan cheese (in the green bottle)
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Olive Oil
Lemon pepper seasoning
One lime, or lime juice
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
While the oven is heating, prep your asparagus and place on a cookie sheet.
Drizzle olive oil lightly over them, then sprinkle with your own desired amount of Parmesan cheese.
Top them off with a small layer of mozzarella and place them into the oven for 10-12 minutes, depending on how soft/crispy you like them.
The salmon is pretty simple to make.
First, place your frozen filet into a baking pan (I used a glass brownie dish) and lightly drizzle olive oil, lemon pepper seasoning and a touch of lime juice onto the filet. Once done, cover the pan with tin foil and pop into the oven, also at 400 degrees, for 5 minutes per oz.
(ex: My filet was 5 ounces so I put it in for 25 minutes.)
Easiest and most delicious meal I’ve made for myself in a long time. So, if you want to eat something quick and healthy give it a try! I would love to know your thoughts.

Now I feel hungry. It looks so delicious. I couldn’t agree more about a sugar and the same is with salt as well. Recently in one of tv shows I saw experiment where tested fresh fish from shop and frozen. They cooked it without any spices, just as it is. And the most delicious was frozen, because it is frozen fresh and straight away, but “fresh” fish in shop not always is as fresh. Even food expert admit that he eat frozen fish, it’s much more safe.
Your look is so feminine and lovely. I like this mix of strong and soft. Your jacket is great piece for spring. Oh, I can’t wait for warmer weather to come.

OMG – Love the jacket!!! I know it’s not the type of piece you wear all of the time, but it’s so nice that I know you must feel amazing when you do wear it.
I also like the Lent update. What you’re doing isn’t easy and I think it’s interesting to hear your progress. If it helps you keep at it, then who cares what we all think anyways 🙂
