Besides being the main reason camo pants going with essentially everything in my wardrobe (or the fact that I make it go with everything in my wardrobe), olive is a neutral to me like black and white. If you are even feeling like walking on the edge this spring, pair olive with your favorite pastel, you might start to realize why I love it so much.
In other news, it’s lent day 6… 34 days to go and I am actually already feeling amazing. No sugar and no white flour seem hard, but the transition gets easier; if it keeps getting easier, these 40 days might be a breeze. It takes 21 days to create (or break) a habit, so I hope once that day hits, my craving for sweets will start to go away. The reality is we just don’t need sugar in our bodies. It tends to have the same effect on your brain as cocaine, which is extremely scary to think about. It’s encouraging me to be more conscious about what I am putting in my body while teaching myself how to be a better and creative cook. Taking the easy route doesn’t exactly fly with my goals. Don’t think you can’t go out to eat either because you can for sure; you just have to do some research. I also believe being a more informed consumer benefits you in more ways than one. Let’s hope lent is a great transition into a life change.
Okay, okay, health rant over.
Moral of the story: curb your sugar. Eat whole grains. Incorporate olive in your wardrobe as soon as possible.

Um..that jacket is olive jacket PERFECTION! Love it!
Good luck with no sugar and white bread for lent, I decided not to shop for lent so we’ll see how that goes. You look gorgeous by the way, love that bag your reminded me that I have a similar one in black that I haven’t used in ages.
Good Luck with no shopping, I did that last year. It was so HARD!
Olive is fabulous, especially in spring and fall. I’m loving it more these days, because I keep feeling myself being drawn to camo. Talk about tons of olive.
Your lent goal is a tough one, but I’m sure that with your dedication, you’ll get through it successfully. I never heard that concept about 21 days to break or create a habit….but that does sound like it makes a lot of sense.
