June Gloom

Palm Print Pants

This past weekend I was overly anxious to get to the beach. However, Mother Nature had other plans. San Diego natives experience a Seattle-like gloom in the late spring and early summer; this is referred to as June Gloom. The sun-seeker are known to avoid southern California beaches in the late spring because the gloom often darkens the coastal skies of sunny southern California. During this time, the coastal clouds may remain all day but often give way to some hazy afternoon sunshine.

Lucky me, this was my beach day, but nothing could stop me from enjoying the coast and dressing for the occasion in my favorite palm tree print pants. Don’t worry, each day following greeted me with bright sunshine before my departure.

    LOVE this outfit so much!! I’m obsessed with comfy printed pants, so I am a bit fan of these ones! Also, love the crop top. I actually bought two of them, but I’m too nervous to wear them. Stupid, I know!

    Oh man, sorry your beach day ended up being a gloomy day! On my one and only trip to Hawaii that was the case the entire week I was there! (haven’t been back since!) But at least your outfit was bright and cheery. Such a fun print for those pants!
