I live about 30 minutes from SF, so my tips for you are:
– wear layers. summer time in SF is hella chilly.
– see the sea lions on the pier
– take a ferry to angel island
– sausalito is a cute town just north of SF
– eat pizza in Berkeley at Cheeseboard
