Oh San Francisco… a love affair that has only just begun. Coming from Salt Lake City, the diversity and energy in the city really captivated me. All of you Northern Californians have me completely envious in so many ways. The only thing I could do without is maybe all that wind.
The Station
Within minutes from the steps of our hotel was The Station; a great coffee spot serving famous ‘Blue Bottle Coffee’ and morning sandwiches for fuel before our long daily walks and explorations.

Akiko’s Sushi Bar

Buster’s
Walking around the city we found a local hot spot. This little hole-in-the-wall restaurant painted yellow and black served up a pretty mean cheese steak. If you want to try it, bring cash.
Tarantino’s Restaurant
Since this was my first time in San Francisco, many encouraged me to check out Fisherman’s Wharf. Known for its amazing clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl, I couldn’t resist; especially with its stunning views of all the boats in the pier.
Stella Pastry & Cafe
My sister has the biggest sweet tooth ever. Her idea of a good evening involves coffee and a decedent treat. I cant really blame her. Isn’t that what being on vacation is all about?
Stella was about 10 minutes walking distance from our hotel and had cases full of desserts, alongside some amazing local artwork for sale.

Ohsa Thai Noodle Cafe
One of my favorite days in the city was just spent catching up with friends. Tay, whom is a native of San Fran, took me to this Thai gem on Geary Street. Surprisingly, besides the yummy Thai favorites you would expect, they had a great appetizer called “Angel Wings.” These wings were probably some of the best chicken wings I have had in a while.
The Grove
Right in the heart of downtown San Francisco, this little breakfast food gem was the ultimate find. Swarming with locals (that’s how you can tell if its a good restaurant or not… go where the people go) we decided to try it out. I loved the outdoor seating and the atmosphere inside was that of a college coffee shop hangout. The place featured a delicious menu and served breakfast all day. Now that’s a win in my book.
Overall, San Fran you are amazing. I cannot wait to visit again…

I know I lived on the west coast in Seattle for a while, and got the chance to visit San Francisco, it certainly is inspiring and I could see myself living there. I really do miss the west coast sometimes. And your pictures are gorgeous!
