Statement coats have been nothing shy of amazing this year. From all the amazing prints and layers at NYFW, I have been inspired to pull out some of my favorites and make my own unique statement before coat weather decides to go away for good. Surprisingly, our usual chilly weather has now been passed on to our friends in the east, who may or may not be enjoying the cold weather, but hopefully are enjoying the days off from work and school.
Although there is no snow on the ground, my plaid coat proved to be extra handy, and equally fun, over my simple plaid check button up shirt. I have no idea why, but mixing patterns and plaid prints has been in serious rotation for me this season, but I honestly don’t see it going away anytime soon. It has actually been a very nice and refreshing change from my recent obsession with all black. Hopefully, with the arrival of spring, I won’t just be in love with plaid prints and black, but will be ready to start mixing in some fun colors for the new season ahead.
