Now that the Super Bowl is over and my Seattle Seahawks have lost, I am slightly heartbroken and find myself distracted by burying myself deep into the blog and my love for plaid.
Mixing patterns has become a classic style, from wearing stripes and florals, polka dots and leopard, or even pairing plaid prints. This plaid shirt, I received last summer, was the perfect complement to the graphic print pencil skirt that I scored over Black Friday. The high contrast of colors and plaid pattern in the top was toned down and evened out by the simple plaid graphic in the skirt.
Pairing different graphic prints really allows for more versatility out of uncommon pieces that might not get as much wear in your wardrobe. It also creates the perfect canvas for layering with scarves, jewelry, or even printed coats.
