Sometimes, when we have nothing to wear at all, we panic. Maybe that just happens to be me, but when I have nothing to wear I end up tearing up my entire house in hopes of finding some gem in the back of my closet. These past few weekends, I’ve been surprised to find myself reaching for some simple, yet always classic, pieces in my wardrobe. Basics we all wear, but never seem to utilize enough, or even together. A simple chambray, a black pair of jeans, and a leopard print heel… sounds simple right? Sadly, it was a revelation that I had after 30 minutes of staring blankly into closet nowhere land.
In fashion today, we are all wearing the latest trends in patterns, prints, and cuts, but we always use our basics to make them much more wearable. We can’t forget that these pieces paired together also make the perfect ensemble, and even a closet full of basics never seems to go out of style.
