Casual Crop Top

Tomorrow will mark one week back from my spontaneous trip to San Diego. I really can’t explain why I love the city; it just feels like my second home. I am pretty certain that I was supposed to be a California girl, but something got lost in translation and I ended up in Salt Lake City at the age of 7.

Most of my go to outfits were dresses, but something about laid back casual style seemed just as fitting walking around the city.  I picked up this cobalt blue cropped sweatshirt at the end of the summer last year and have been dying to pull it out of the back of my closet ever since.

Pairing a crop top with distressed jeans really gave me the “Cali vibes” I was hoping for. There is something so simply perfect about looking barely put together. I’m sure all of us, at one point or another, have all said “Crop tops will go out of style soon,” “Plaid shirts are great in the fall and winter,” “Destroyed denim is just having a short comeback,” but surprisingly all these trends are here to stay and they actually all work together! Even just writing this post and thinking about when I was pulling this look for running around in the Gas Lamp district, I remember thinking how this pairing would work well with any color, literally, anything.

So if we were to learn anything from all of this, trust the Cali vibes, they invented casual style after all.
