Utilizing classic pieces within our wardrobe is what extends the wearability of our clothing. But what happens when our favorite pieces aren’t exactly seasonally appropriate? Luckily, with summer quickly approaching, I have fallen for the warm weather version of a winter favorite, the tuxedo jacket turned vest.
This vest caught my eye while shopping in Las Vegas and immediately created an endless list of possible outfits in my head. It’s great for the office, a casual outing, or nights on the town (which was honestly what it sold me on. It seems perfect for a silk cami dress too!). It also provided the perfect lightweight layer for my peplum, that I never get to wear quite as much as I would like. Keeping my palette completely neutral gave me a fun way to play with color with my pink Charlotte Olympia clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Who says classics have to be boring, regardless of the season?
