Monochromatic Outfit 

Happy Monday! I don’t know what I am more excited about this week, the fact that it’s a short work week or the fact that I get a long weekend. Either way I will celebrate America’s birthday for both reasons! So in honor of the holiday to come, I am taking it easy this week in one of my favorite outfit color combinations; monochromatic.

Sure a monochromatic outfit is technically not a combination at all, but the pairing of a solid color is the ultimate pairing for a simple yet stylish everyday look. To be honest, I am currently wearing this number to work. I couldn’t resist, this drapey double twill skirt is not only comfortable but super breezy in the continuously rising heat. It also was an exact match for my Valentino flats. The neutral cream color is the perfect combination for a monochromatic outfit, but anything I plan on pairing it with in the future. I sometimes prefer it more than a solid white, especially when pairing with pastels or even other neutrals like olive or grey. Giving it a softer feel, rather than a brighter look with a bright crisp white.
