This last year, one of my New Years resolutions was to have a more minimal approach with my clothing. What turned from one closet clean out to the next, and then the next, revealed that majority of the clothing I hang on to wasn’t anything I was wearing, but felt guilty to part with. I wont lie, I have a ridiculous amount of clothing, but walking into my closet everyday, never wearing what was hanging up in my closet started to frustrate me. Even after I have completed multiple purges, I still take note of pieces I wear, what I don’t, and where I can fill in the gaps with.
It’s interesting to me that although I have adapted dressing in a more minimal and classic form, I still have my favorite clothing items that stand out and refuse to part with. Vintage rock band tee shirts will always reign supreme on that list. From Van Halen to Katy Perry, I absolutely love the laid back approach to wearing a retro band tee. Even paired with destroyed denim or even a leather skirt you can dress up or down your favorite vintage band shirt and give your outfit a bit of personality.

Oh I love this tee! this entire outfit is so cute! and I have the same problem. I have sooooo many clothes and I don’t wear even half of it! But it’s so hard to part with it. ahhhh the struggle.
