Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend! I spent majority of my weekend running errands, cleaning and shopping but snuck out Friday night for a quick drink with one of my best friends. We decided that instead of partying in a cluster of people, our idea of a good night these days is no lines, no standing, personal space, and of course tapas and drinks. Not really sure why in the beginning of my late twenties I have started to enjoy getting a bit more ready of evenings out, but getting ready for myself. No matter if you just are going out with the girls and have no intentions of meeting anyone. Feeling confident and loving what you wear, for no reason at all, is the best.
This cream dress I snagged from J. Crew was exactly one of those kinds of outfits, something I wanted to wear, solely for myself. I saw it in the window and immediately wanted to try it on. I realize that the double zippers were probably not intended for unzipping but we all need a Jennifer Lopez leg moment every now and then. On the subject of legs can we just talk about these shoes for a minute. I know I have been wearing them a bunch but I just cannot get over how classic a minimal strappy heeled sandal is. Not only are they comfortable but they make my legs feel never ending. I highly suggest getting gold as they have become a universal staple in my closet and I may or may not be buying a back up pair…
Needless to say, you don’t always have to buy things for a purpose. Sometimes just getting dressed up for a few drinks with the girls is reason enough to get that dress you’ve been eyeing.
