Happy Canada Day to all my fellow Canadians out there!

Sadly, I am not in Canada with my extended family celebrating, I am gearing up for this weeks next local event. With America’s birthday this Saturday, I have been feeling slightly patriotic and somewhat nautical, for obvious reasons both themes tend to intermix. Lets be honest, who can resist a good red, white and blue color combination though?

Already being a huge blazer and shorts fan, when I picked up this navy blazer, I knew it would be a shoe in for the upcoming holiday. Pairing the classic navy blazer with a striped tank was the perfect staple and just needed a fun pop of color from my heels and sunglasses. Clearly I like to go a little above and beyond with the heavy metal chains, but I am a sucker for gold and it needed my own little touch of pizazz. Now in retro-spec I feel like this outfit would even look jazzy and cool with my favorite pair of white high tops, giving it a bit more of a casual spin. Heels or sneakers, either option would be great depending on your 4th of July plans!

    I’ve been loving all the 4th of July posts I’ve been seeing on everyones blogs, but this look just takes the cake. By far one of my favorites! It’s holiday festive without screaming red white and blue too much in your face and I love that. You simply could not have done a better job styling this look! 🙂
