Summer Floral Print

Floral Print Dress 

Kohl’s released a MILLY collaboration with Design Nation a few months back, and needless to say, I was a bit late to the game. I saw it here and there online but it never really grabbed my attention. It wasn’t until I actually saw the collection in person that I felt like maybe I should give it a go. In most cases, I am not one to be fearful of trying something on just based off how it looks on the hanger. This dress must have caught me on an off day because this was an exception.  I don’t know if it was the bright and bold floral print or the scuba material but something about this dress confused me. Being a huge fan of structured clothing scuba material is nothing new to me, however, I’ve never owned or tried it in full dress form.

The reason I gravitate towards midi skirts is due to the fullness the material provides, keeping everything in shape but allowing movement. This floral dress was no exception. The second I zipped up the back, it molded completely to my shape but also was comfortable enough for everyday. Scuba being a heavy material, I find it to be warmer than traditional fabrics but made into a dress keeping my cool was extremely easy.

The bold graphic floral print had the same effect. What worried me at first, ended up being extremely complimentary and fun. The bright colors are the perfect edition to my summer wardrobe. Although this dress is no longer available, they have some amazing prints in similar styles. This one is amazing in a bright coral and I may or may not have also picked up this dress as well, I can never say no to a good maxi.
