Farmers Market

From my 9-5, to heading out to dinner with my girlfriends, I am always posting some of my favorite workwear, night out or casual day looks. Lets be serious though, in my downtime you will rarely catch me in heels, let alone do doing my hair or wearing anything on my face besides mascara. I am human, and when I do most of my running around I stick to some seriously laid back casual pieces. 

So in typical casual fashion I usually attend the Salt Lake City Farmers Market that happens every Saturday in the Summer months. Starting at 9am, I usually am barely even functioning to manage to do more than throw on my favorite pair of jeans and slip on some comfortable sandals to run out the door. The earlier you arrive the better chance you have at getting the best produce, pastries, hummus, sauces, bath products and crafts, before the crowds and the summer heat arrives. My first stop consists of picking up a freshly made green juice from a local juice bar that arrives in an adorable food truck. Soon after, while drinking my breakfast I walk the market picking up fresh carrots, tomatoes, kale, corn, and peaches for my sister’s latest ice cream concoction.

The best part about the Farmers Market is certainly the laid back vibes. Locals are comfortably dressed, picking up their haul for the week ahead and enjoying the amazing summer weather we get in the valley. Each person features their own unique style, not based off impressing anyone, but strictly based off their personality, mood and of course pure comfort.

I am extremely envious of warmer states who have Farmers Markets year round. We only have a few more weeks until our local Farmers Market will be over till next summer.
