With Labor Day finally behind us at this point, there is no denying that Fall is finally here. Transitional Fall outfits are a must as the temperatures being to cool in the day time and drop in the evenings. I however don’t think I can part with my obsession with dresses, even in the cooler temperatures. I know I don’t just speak for myself when I say this, but keeping my stems warm in the autumn nights requires thigh high boots. Let’s be serious, boots are single handily the best part about Fall. Sure scarves and sweaters are cozy, but we can’t get enough of boot season. I was thrilled to pull these tan bad boys out from my closet as the weather finally allowed them. Luckily, they are still available in black and grey and my inner shopoholic has a hunch that since I already own the black and tan, grey might need to be on the roster for Fall (There is also this killer style available with a thicker heel!).
Another huge indication that Fall is finally here is the wide spread plaid fever. Sure plaid is a completely universal pattern for every season, but it seems the most appropriate in the cooler months. Just like Floral seems the most fitting in Spring and Summer, plaid just makes sense for Fall. Once I snagged this neutral plaid shift dress I knew it would be a great fit for a day in the office or paired with a light jacket for a cocktail in the evening. Shift dresses not only provide an extremely wearable and classic silhouette, but usually match up perfectly with a thigh high boot. Naturally crossing off majority of my Fall obsessions in one simple outfit.

Awesome outfit Kimberly! I love the boots but living on the Canadian prairies means I have to be sensible with the heel if I don’t want to wipe out in the snow. ;D I’ll be keeping my eyes open for an alternative thigh high pair.
