Sweater Dress

I don’t know about you guys but this short week was an insanely busy work week for me. That extra day off sure is amazing but will set you back, especially when you have month end reports for all of your clients due. After a seriously strenuous week like this week, Fridays are all about comfort.

Going into Fall, dressing for comfort purposes is actually quite simple. With all the layers and cozy knits, it’s easy to find yourself all snuggled up for the chilly weather. Through my wardrobe updates for the new season, I came around this oversize sweater dress. Always pondering purchasing one they always seemed like a great laid back version of traditional office or weekend wear, the best part is, they are! Sweater dress’s are exactly that, big comfortable oversized sweatshirts that you get to wear. Honestly, its certainly an investment worth making, especially because this sweater dress was under $25.

This one was a tad more oversized that I would usually like, considering my body style. Non the less, adding a simple plaid shirt or denim chambray around the waist solved all my problems.

Dressing for comfort really isn’t possible without the right pair of shoes and lately, I have been very into wearing more flats and sneakers. Adidas Superstars are a retro classic but being a loyal Nike girl, I had never tried a pair before. After now owning my first pair, I cannot stress enough that this is the most comfortable pair of casual sneakers I own! Do yourself a favor and invest in a pair, or even the ‘Stan Smith‘ version without the shell toe design on the toe.

Regardless, as much as we love to dress to the nine on a daily basis, sometimes it’s nice to relax and enjoy casual Friday. So pull out your comfy knits and brush off your sneakers, we all deserve a little break.
