Happy Friday, everyone! I have been really excited to share with you something a little different then my typical wardrobe posts. Today I take you inside my living room. Living alone, my house is my private haven and I treat it as an extension of myself and my style. With fall changing the colors of the leaves and dropping the temperatures, it was time for me to make some clean and refreshing changes within my space as well.
Most times we consider making changes inside our living quarters to be drastic. However, simple organizing and styling techniques can easily transform each room and give it that change of scenery that we need each season. I wanted to share a few things I do to keep my home peaceful and warm with you all!
See the light: I would consider my interior design style to be more contemporary and modern. This allows me to use metal, mirrors, and lucite to reflect light to give the allusion of a space that is larger than it really is. This is a typical technique I have applied throughout my whole house which really brightens up my home—even with my bold use of prints and patterns. Try incorporating these different elements in your decor to open up your space and utilize more light within your home.
Stack It: I tend to hoard magazines, books, and novels. I love to keep all my favorites in hard copies in a simple place that I will always remember. They also provide great coffee table books for those who may or may not be waiting for me to get ready upstairs (regularly guilty!). However, with my book collection increasing, my space reduces. I have started to stack my books according to size to give my coffee and end tables a little more height, while also utilizing my lack of space.
Create the mood: In most cases, I think a lot of our moods are determined by the fragrance in which we surround ourselves. Recently, I had the pleasure of shopping and checking out the brand new exclusive collection at Walmart: American Home™ by Yankee Candle® collection brand. I love finding my way into the candle section and spending time opening each lid to find my next favorite signature fragrance for my home. I was quickly drawn to two candles (Shades of Fall & Moonlit Night) that uplifted my mood and had me in the autumn spirit. Honestly, for the price point of under $20 for each candle, you can’t really beat it either. I may or may not have left with three, but now I can easily transform my organized home with the beautiful fragrance of fall.
Be sure to let me know your organizing tips and tricks for your spaces and check out the exclusive Walmart collection: American Home™ by Yankee Candle® collection brand!

Nothing is better than a new signature home scent for fall. With all the time you’re now spending indoors, it only makes sense to transform it into a sanctuary.

I live in a small space so I do a lot of stacking to not only create depth, but also create the illusion of organized chaos. Thanks for the great tips! #client
