Olive Utility Jacket

I know I have been venting about the warm weather lately, but somehow the fall gods must have heard my prayers and sent down some cool weather into SLC. Although, I haven’t been able to utilize my fall wardrobe to its fullest potential quite yet, in the mean time this olive utility jacket couldn’t be ignored.

Utility Jackets to women are what cargo shorts are to men. The perfect casual item you can throw on that goes with everything and has a few extra pockets for all your random essentials (that you never really thought you needed to bring with you). This is one closet staple that I think all women need to invest in. We have our beloved pea-coats and moto jackets, but the laid back appeal of the utility jacket can be worn time and time again and in many ways. In most cases I wear my utility jacket unzipped and open, however they can be zipped and synched in the middle for a more fitting and feminine shape. I tend to throw a belt on as well to give the appearance of an exaggerated waist line.

Also dubbed the ‘anorak’ I believe this style still falls under the utility jacket family. Ranging in color options from traditional olive, navy, khaki, and black, you can also find great options featuring two-toned color schemes or an added fur hood. The possibilities are endless, it’s just about finding the right jacket that fits within your style!
