Somehow whenever you want something to happen, it doesn’t ever happen exactly as you pictured it in your head. It’s in those moments that you do not plan on that tend to exceed your expectations. This has certainly become a common theme in my life. While your priorities change, you start to realize that non-accessibility, relaxation, and silence become the new luxuries in life. However, these luxuries have caused me to become more of a hermit instead of a gal in her twenties, enjoying her youth. Recently turning 27, I have made it a goal to put myself out there and reintroduce the social butterfly that went into slight remission in my 26th year. Going out every night this weekend was slightly refreshing. Although, I am paying for it now, as I write this post and procrastinate why I should put it off instead of just getting it done. So without further adieu, I bring you this amazing floral print skirt.
I think most of us are still riding the midi skirt train (me included) from summer. However, the classic long maxi skirt plays a crucial role in fall fashion. Covering your whole legs, the maxi skirt provides coverage while giving your legs a bit more warmed with an added amount of fabric. There is also something so regal about a floral length gown or skirt. This floral print maxi skirt was no exception. Paired with the “fashion blog famous” lace up flats, (I realize now why everyone owns them, they are so comfortable!) this comfortable combo is the perfect outfit for a client meeting in the office, or dinner with the gals.
I also have come to terms with the fact that leather is my fall obsession. Like most women crave pumpkin spice lattes, I crave leather. I literally don’t think one person can own too much. So by adding a personal touch of this faux leather jacket, I made this elegant floral print skirt a little more casual for everyday life.

Love the skirt –Hanna Lei
Such a wonderful and fun skirt, perfect for a great evening out. I did the same thing in my 20’s, 26 I was more of a homebody finding out who I really was, and by 27 I was ready to re-enter the world confident in who I am. It’s a good thing to have balance between the fun party girl and the hermit. It’s also a big achievement, so be proud of yourself for growing.

Girl, you are looking so gorgeous in these photos! I love the combo of black with red on you – so edgy!
I find that sometimes maxi skirts tend to look a little frumpy on me during the colder months…but apparently I haven’t been choosing the right pieces to style with them. Awesome post!

Oh that skirt is absolutely stunning! Such a pretty colour and print and it looks great with your leather jacket!
Now that I’m in my thirties, I’ve become more of a homebody. But I still make time to get together with the girls and have a fun night out. I think for me my priorities changed, and I had to find a happy balance between work, family and having nights out with the girls.
