Thanksgiving is now a few days away and I couldn’t be more excited. Sometimes just having a few extra days off and getting time to just relax and unwind with family is seriously just what the doctor ordered. Sure I might be spending half of that time gorging myself with food and frivolously shopping but thats an added bonus, am I right? Needless to say, with Thanksgiving almost here we are all concerned about shopping for friends, family, and loved ones to give the perfect gift.

As a fragrance lover myself I know that giving the gift of scent is extremely tricky. We all are attracted to perfume differently, which makes giving the gift of scent a super personal one. Did you know, of all the senses, smell is the most powerful. Just getting a whiff of a particular note, aroma or fragrance can conjure up memories of people, places, and things we love. And that’s why when you give perfume as a gift, you have the power to leave a lasting impression. Personally, I love to gift beautiful scents and aromas, but I have to be extremely certain I know the persons taste and personality before I end up leaving the store with something I am just purchasing for myself.

Maybe I am speaking generally here, but I am pretty confident that we have the one family member or friend who loves fragrance a little bit more than most. For me, that would be my sister. She’s always adding that extra spray throughout the day and loves to try different scents and smells with each bottle she purchases. Lucky for me, I tend to be the tester and she often takes my recommendations, pretty much to the point where we always have the same fragrance.
