I hope everyone had an amazing Halloween weekend! I am currently still recovering from my lack of sleep, but time change certainly arrived at the perfect time!
Often times I find myself getting most excited for Spring time. Not necessarily for the weather, but for the color palette that we start to crave as we pack up all of our winter items and prepare for the bright and sunny times ahead. This year, I have become eager to pack away my neons and pastels and embrace falls rich and deep tones. Olive and grey have been two of my recent favorites.
These two neutral colors paint the perfect backdrop for some serious fall combinations. Maybe I have just become a wee bit boring in the colors department, but the older I get, the more I have found myself leaning towards rich and deep tones. Blacks, berries, browns, and navy blues, all look fantastic with both olive and grey but I prefer to wear them together.
Being more of a shorter stature, skater skirts look a bit awkward on me. Thigh high boots are an easy way to cover enough but allow the skirt to not look like its a wee bit too short. Opaque tights in the winter are also a solid go to! This grey turtleneck sweater has been my favorite fall pick up to date. I find myself being extremely picky about turtlenecks and how they fit. This one was the perfect combination of fit and comfort, also giving me a bit of breathing room around my neck for more of a blanket scarf feel instead of a choke hold. It also comes in a oatmeal tan color that may or may not be currently saved in my cart already.
