Totally Taupe

Fall Outfit Inspiration 

Most days I would consider myself prepared. Work completed, house (somewhat) organized, blog post written, and alarm set for the morning. This week wasn’t exactly one of those normal weeks. Deadlines, lack of sleep, long hours, and limited motivation, certainly kept me from being great. So as I sit here at 5 am writing my blog post, I am already dreaming of getting out of the office and curling up into my bed that I will not be seeing again for approximately 12 more hours. With the temperatures dropping into the 30s this week, the chill certainly doesn’t help my lack of motivation. Saying comfortable in cozy layers is certainly going to become a regular trend for the remainder of fall and upcoming winter season.

Motorcycle jackets may have become ubiquitous, but they certainly haven’t lost an ounce of coolness in my book. This taupe moto jacket has made quite a few debuts on my blog since fall arrived and I don’t see it going anywhere soon (p.s. it’s $21). The combination of neutral color and effortless chic makes it almost a no-brainer when pairing it with most options in my closet. Matching my jacket with sweater dresses, scarves, and thigh high boots makes cold weather a thing of the past. I am not sure if you have noticed either, but along with my taupe jacket, I can’t seem to get enough of these taupe boots either (news flash: they are also under $35!). Maybe we are seeing a taupe pattern here… As much as I love white and thing its appropriate for all seasons, the muted and subtle addition of taupe just makes everything look so natural. Dare I say taupe is the new white? Certainly not, but it is becoming one of my favorite neutrals… as if I could get enough of them lately…

Through my continuous hell week I have also been exploring the internet for some interesting finds. Now with Halloween over, and fun lip colors being extinct until next year, I have a strange desire for wanting to test out navy blue lipstick. Though my countless searches I have found this color, but am curious if you guys have any recommendations? Following beauty pages on my Instagram certainly is getting the best of me. I also couldn’t resist this cult classic watch and am actually really excited to replace my gold watch for something a bit more laid back. Maybe I should chill out on the shopping until Black Friday arrives… in less than 2 weeks!?! Alright, I will stop rambling and attempt to stay somewhat alive for the rest of the day. T-minus 11ish hours to go, HAPPY WEEKEND.
