I live in a part of the United States where we take snow very seriously, “Best Snow on Earth” kind of seriously. So with major snow comes a major selection of winter coats each season. Ranging from temperatures in the high 40s all the way down to single digit numbers, it’s easy to need a winter coat selection as vast as your shoe collection… or shall I say boot collection.

With this years interesting El Nino winter we are having across the U.S., most Mid-West/East Coasters are enjoying a warmer December, while the West Coast is having their fair share of down-pours (snow/rain). Although, I couldn’t ever be mad at a white Christmas every year, our winters draw out the longest, heading almost always into the end of April, beginning of May. So when I announce that I own 20-30 coats, most people look at me crazy, but when you wear one everyday for over 6 months out of the year, it’s easy to create quite an in-depth and versatile collection of winter coats. On most days you will find one of my coats in my car, on my chair at the office, and often in a closet of their very own in my front room. You never know when a storm or wind chill might creep up on you and preparation is key.

From leather jackets, parkas, and capes to trenches, peacoats, and bombers, there is certainly different styles of winter coats we all need in our wardrobe. Yes, its Christmas this Friday and most of us are finished or finishing up on our holiday shopping, however, now it the best time to score your this seasons coat for a major steal.     30 coats? Kudos to you. That seems reasonable for where you live. I live in the Bay Area and I own about 7 coats, and that already seems like too much. Although I’d love to add the one you’re wearing to my wardrobe, lol.

    I love all the looks! I used to live on the East Coast (now in Southern California), and I always enjoyed wearing cute pea coats and various stylish parkas. Great post!
