In honor of Martin Luther King Day, it only seems right to start today’s post of with one of my favorite quotes. Although, MLK Day marks another holiday for some of us, it’s certainly a day of reflection knowing that as a country we have come so far. From the Civil Rights movement back in the 1968, all the way to same-sex marriage and Women’s Rights that we are pushing for even into today. Certainly there are many issues that still need resolutions, but I am happy to see our country move towards progress and equality. I may not be American, but I am proud to live in a country where positive change has happened, but even more equal rights are near for us all.

I do happen to get today off (Yippeee), and have planned a full day of catching up on those tedious tasks that never seem to get done. From starting my day of strong with a 2-a-day workout, I also plan on getting my life in a “cleaner” order by starting to organize and declutter my house; some pre-spring cleaning if you will. I have also been working on some small rebranding for Eleventh & Sixteenth, from new photography tweaks to some new collaborations. There will be some more fun and exciting things happening in the already crazy New Year! I even changed up my hair style too (Check it out on my Instagram page!).

There is also no better way to get ahead start on goals then in a pretty fantastic pair of shoes. Olive and fringe shoes to be exact. I couldn’t exactly resist purchasing this feminine pair, especially when they are on sale for less then $20… Yes, LESS. They also come in black, blue, and a darling rust color. Olive also happens to be one of my favorite colors to pair with my neutrals. Paired with black and grey, olive makes this outfit pop without asking for too much attention.
