Always on the move, it’s essential to stay on top of my game with an adequate amount of sleep and keeping my body in tip top shape. Oftentimes it’s the items that you have in your pantry that you can combine to give yourself the extra advantage you need during the harsh season. So, today I am sharing some tips and an easy turmeric recipe to stay healthy in 2016!
I found the Nature’s Truth turmeric for this recipe, along with the accompanying melatonin, at Rite Aid in the vitamin and supplement aisle. You can also find them at other retailers like Walgreens, Amazon, and Target.com.
Besides all the New Year’s resolutions I’m attempting to fulfill in the new year, keeping my body in order and working correctly makes everything else easier and more efficient. Recently I have been adding Nature’s Truth products into my daily routine to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Turmeric and melatonin are a few of my favorites. Turmeric promotes antioxidant health and supports natural immune function.* Melatonin is a hormone in our bodies that helps to regulate sleep cycles*. Taken as a supplement, melatonin promotes rest and relaxation and helps maintain a regular sleep cycle*.
The Nature’s Truth melatonin comes in a tasty berry flavored quick dissolve tablet , which can help those who have a hard time swallowing pills.
I like to create a fun spin on traditional almond milk that also helps to get me feeling back to by best. It’s made using turmeric and other natural ingredients.
What you will need:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 teaspoon ground Nature’s Truth turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 teaspoon sweetener of your choice (I used vanilla almond milk because it’s a regular in my fridge)
Instructions:
Combine all of the ingredients in a mason jar or shaker bottle. Screw the jar’s lid on tight and shake well for about 2 minutes. Pour the combination through a mesh strainer, into a cup or bowl. Then pour the strained almond milk back into a cup or mug to enjoy! It’s also the perfect 1-2 punch to take with your Melatonin for a restful night’s sleep*!
Be sure to check out Nature’s truth and all the other products available. Cheers to a healthy 2016!
