Some of us have different body features, we don’t always identify with certain peoples types or classifications. On the flip side, I can easily say we all share a few things in common… one in specific, PORES. Not only have pores been haunting me since middle school, but these bad boys haunt all of us, every last one of us.
Besides the fact that my pores are often times as dark as the night, I have had a trusty BFF that I have relied on since my early days. Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips have not only been my secret weapon for me for essentially a decade, but they really are a miracle worker (that you can actually see working!). These Bioré cleansing strips work like a magnet by instantly locking onto and removing deep-down dirt, oil and blackheads so you get the deepest clean. They remove a week’s worth of dirt and gunk that cause clogged pores in just 10 minutes, for the best and deepest way to clean your pores. I am not lying when I say I always have backups at the house for emergencies! Especially because with continued use, these pore strips can visibly reduce the appearance of pores.
Sure these Bioré cleansing strips sound like life savers, but over the years I have found a step-by-step process to make sure these pore destroyers can do their best work!
Step one: Wash your face
Trying to get clogged pores squeaky clean can be interrupted if you have a layer or oil or makeup on your face. It is essential to make sure that you have already washed your face to prep for your cleansing strip!
Step two: Steam
Steaming your face is certainly a personal preference. I do know that when you pores are hot they tend to open up more. Allowing these Bioré cleansing strips to really work their magic. I like to boil some water and put the hot water in a bowl. I cover the back of my head with a towel and allow the steam to hit my face. *Please remember steam is extremely hot and if you are too close, it may hurt or burn. Test the area with your hand and feel free to give yourself some breaks.*
Step three: Apply your strip
Make sure your nose is a little damp, giving your cleansing strip something to grip onto. I tend to wet my finger and glide it over the surface after I have applied it. Making sure it is damp.
Step four: Wait
Yeah this is the boring part. Wait until your cleansing strip is stiff. It is almost rock hard when it is finished. This process should take anywhere from 10-15 minutes, so kick up your feet and let the magic happen!
Step five: Peel it off
Once the strip feels stiff, peel it slowly and carefully starting at the edges and pulling towards the center. When you remove it, you will be able to see all those pesky black heads that are not attached to your cleansing pore strip.
Step six: Seal your nose
Now that your nose is clean, be sure to close those open pores with cold water. I quickly run my nose under the faucet with cold water to make sure my pores close up tight.
Now to really get this party started! Exclusively at Wal-Mart you can find these exact adorable limited edition Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips in both Zebra and Cheetah prints for a limited time!

Biore strips are the best. I get so many blackheads and they’re just gross. Plus it’s kind of fun to peel it off and see how many you can remove 😉 Great tips!
