This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Schick, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #pmgschick #7dayshavechallenge #ad http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
It’s now the time that we can’t hide behind our denim jeans, opaque tights or thigh high boots. We have to come to terms with the fact that we can’t have that extra 10 minutes of sleep or shower time. It’s time for us to get out of our lazy phase and begin… shaving our legs.
I will be the first to admit that I am the worst offender. I wait till the last possible second to shave. Don’t get me wrong, nothing is better than a pair of freshly shaved and smooth legs. The only difference is, it takes so long to do and goes away fast. Certainly not a win-win, especially in the winter months. Trying to hype myself up about swimsuits, dresses, short shorts and mini skirts, I decided to partner with Schick and take the Schick Hydro Silk and Skintimate 7 Day shave challenge, proving to myself that Shaving doesn’t have to be a chore!
Heading into the warm weather after a long winter can be hard…real hard – mostly on your legs after months of little hydration and not much shaving. Not only do I live somewhere that’s overly dry, but I also have the hair genes of a wooly mammoth. I am always paranoid about my leg hair in skirts and dresses, so I tend to avoid shaving at all costs. I know shaving isn’t everyone’s favorite thing to do, but it could be with a little help from some seriously awesome products like the Schick Hydro Silk Razor and Skintimate Shave Gels.
I started off my leg care routine with the New Skintimate Island Berry Breeze Shave Gel. I love using shaving gel because it foams into a rich lather that helps me protect my legs and see where I have or haven’t shaved (because I miss more spots than I would like to admit!). I also picked up Skintimate Silky Skin gel, to help me when I have those days where my legs don’t always cooperate. Helping replenish skin’s natural moisture with Moroccan Oil and a blend of Vitamin E, Olive Butter, and Sunflower Seed Oil.
Upon opening my new Schick Hydro Silk Razor, I was pretty jazzed to see 5 blades for not only an extremely close shave, but to reduce shaving time by going over spots that my 2-3 blade razors couldn’t always get. It hydrated my legs and left my skin feeling silky smooth after every shave during the challenge. The Schick Hydro Silk shower hanging refills also provided easy cartridge replacement with blades that can be stored in the shower.
After using the Schick Hydro Silk Razor for a week, you can see a difference. Giving me not only one incredible shave, but a healthy feeling, smooth legs, and one that lasted longer than I ever had before. Don’t be like me and let swimsuits, dresses, short shorts and mini skirts intimidate you. Turn your legs into your best asset with Schick and Skintimate by taking the 7 day shave challenge and take your legs to a new level!

How did you feel the razors lasted? That’s something I always like to take note of when purchasing razors. What is the price based on the number of uses?

I’m excited for the warmer weather, but so sad that I have to actually start shaving my legs again. I haven’t used shaving cream in a really long time and I’ve been using cheaper disposable razors for too long as well. My skin is really sensitive now and I think it’s time to change up my shaving routine!
Thanks for this post.

I just shaved my legs after about two months. Not. Even. Kidding. It’s such a chore but necessary this time of year. I’ve used the Hydrosilk razor and I really like it and would buy it again. I’m on the polka dot skit bandwagon, too. So cute!
