Modern Bohemian

From bell bottoms to bodysuits, maybe I am just getting a little ahead of myself to prepare for next years festival season. Because it seems to be pretty obvious that bohemian, Coachella vibes have worked their way into my summer wardrobe. Although, after looking at these photographs, the one thing I probably should be working on is a tan. 

From wearing kimonos or floral crowns, this modern muse has never really been very into boho vibes. Yes, I am talking about myself, and until recently, my lack of interest in hippie, laid back apparel. But looking at bohemian style besides the obvious giveaways, most of us have a few pieces that may fall into that category. Fringe, suede, floral, flowy, and even slightly oversized, bohemian style seems to stretch into more styles of clothing then you would seem to imagine. Sure my flare leg jeans are about as boho as I get, but even the bandana I am eyeing, or my never ending love for off the shoulder pieces, was pretty eye opening. Even the maxi dresses and skirts we all love, have some pretty solid bohemian roots.

Maybe this post is just me getting over the denial phase and accepting the fact that a little bohemian style never hurts. As our style evolves and our taste for clothing expands and or minimizes, trying new things is how we find ourselves. I could be just a bit more hippie than I thought. These flare leg jeans might just be the start…
