Matching Set
I won’t lie, it was pretty engrained in me a few years ago that “leggings” could never be worn as pants. Man, am I taking my foot out of my mouth now. I think it all started with the rise of athletic clothing a few years ago. Wearing workout pants, or athletic gear started to become more and more regular. From Adidas matching sets, to wearing Lululemon yoga gear everywhere, these comfortable, matching sets starting popping up more and more.
In the beginning I was a bit hesitant. It wasn’t until some of my close girlfriends started egging me on to the matching set trend that I began to gave it some thought. I mean who wouldn’t want to run around in a stretch-knit matching set. First off, besides the fact that they are ridiculously comfortable, I am all about a one stop shop look. A legging matching set, or just a matching set in general does all the leg work for you, you just have to add your own personal touch with accessorizing.
But lets be serious, bad sets can happen to good people. If you are considering this laid back style, make sure you are purchasing a high quality, thick set, this also doesn’t mean you have to pay and arm and a leg either. I have purchased some expensive sets that arrived pretty see-through, and the second I ordered this set (top and bottom), it was pretty obvious to why I also ordered it in the olive color as well.

I used to be the one that said that leggings shouldn’t be worn as pants, but I think as leggings have changed, I’ve changed my mind. As long as they aren’t the elastic leggings and they look like they are supposed to be worn alone they are okay. I actually do have some leggings that I wear as pants.
It’s the comfort that does it for me.

I usto think the same thing too but i do it now noone could ever get me to wear leggings on the street especially because i am really small in statue but i do now i always wear it with over sized shirts or with a cardigan.
I’ve never been against leggings as pants (it’s just too comfortable not to love!), but I’ve never done a matching set. I’m really digging it though!

Definitely the rise of athleisure wear has changed the idea that leggings cannot be worn as pants! I’m definitely happy because there is nothing comfier to run errands in all day than leggings and a workout top!
