Heavy Metal Band Tee

I know everyone is excited that fall is here, but I am just trying to figure out how I can wear all of my favorite summer items well into the next few months. As much as I love getting all fancy and glam, majority of my downtime is spent in sneakers and casual wear. Often times this consists of one of my more prevalent staples: The Band Tee.

As I have talked about a few times on the blog before {here and here}, you can see that I tend to wear band tees not only out on the weekends but even in the office. Now after New York Fashion Week and what is currently going on in London Fashion Week, band tees have been a staple all over. Do you know what the best part is? They are using them for layering *Cue light bulb for fall outfits*. Not only under blazers, jackets, and coats, but you will find band tees layered under maxi dresses, skirts, off the shoulder shirts, slips and tanks. So recent street style hasn’t just encouraged me to utilize my band tee collection, it’s inspired me to buy even more.

Haven’t quite taken the plunge and bought your own band tee? Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be a 80s hair band, or a shirt from the vintage shop. You can wear band tees from your favorite artists, or even find vintage inspired styles. I have rounded up a few under $25 so you can take this classic into your own wardrobe.
