Plaid Dress
It started snowing up in the mountains the last weekend, SNOWING. Can someone please pump the breaks on fall because I am not quite sure if Mother Nature realizes that we are only a week in. I didn’t think my fall wardrobe transition would have to happen so quickly, but I am assuming I am going to be jumping into excessively warm layers faster than I had intended.
A few weekends ago I got to go to Seattle on vacation (to see the Seattle Seahawks football game). It was still pretty warm in Salt Lake City, so I decided to bring some of my fall pieces to get a head start on fall. I ended up packing this amazing plaid dress from lavidaBlue. Often times when we think of fall we associate certain clothing pieces like scarves or boots. For me, I associate plaid. So when I discovered this plaid dress, I couldn’t help but jump on an opportunity to get a head start on the fall weather. It also was a no brainer for me to start pulling out some of my favorite leather pieces and my new thigh high boots.
Discovering this plaid dress was the best part. I was put in communication with the head of lavidaBlue through a friend. She reached out to me and told me about her shop and how she started. As a local, hardworking, entrepreneur myself, I really enjoyed finding out more. I particularly loved when she explained,”I was sick of buying clothes that looked amazing on the barbie-like model, then when it came in the mail, it looked a hot mess on me.” As I always suffer with the same issue. So knowing I was able to ask questions and knew the site and pictures were authentic and real, I already knew what product I was going to be receiving and was so pleased with the final product.
