Block Heel Shoe Obsession
I never though these words would ever come out of my mouth, but over the summer I warmed up to the idea of having a kitten heel. Being 5’4 I never thought that there would be a day that I would wear anything less than 4 inches. As time went on and with the recent block heel shoe trend over the last season or two, I have finally purchased a pair I am hooked.
I am not sure why but block heels always reminded me of those clunky black mules and slides that I used to wear in my middle school days. Although the 90s are back, I don’t think I could ever go back that far. Over the last few years, wider heels started to pop up. I always preferred them in a high heel form, but it was only a matter of time before I was swayed. Maybe it’s because I am getting older and now comfort is a huge priority (maybe not the highest, beauty is sometimes pain) but block heel shoes provide more stability, and I actually like the more structured, casual look you achieve from them without always looking “too fancy” or “over dressed” in a pair of classic heels.
Don’t take my word for it? Maybe kitten heels aren’t your jam but you are curious about the block heel shoe trend? Well be sure to check out my favorite block heel shoe picks in all different heights and styles. Starting at $33, I promise there is a style that will change your mind, just like I did:

Haha, I’m two inches under you and I’ve always welcomed the idea of a low, stable heel – better to have something I can last all day in, I think! Plus with all the cute, fun styles, what’s not to like? The lace-ups are perfection.

I absolutely lolove this look. I often struggle with comfort in a skinny heal and normally trend towards wedges. This will give some versatility to my look.
