Opening Ceremony Varsity Jacket
Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I spent mine catching up with friends, and knocking off my endless to-do list. We are now entering the holiday season, and it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Just kidding, it is however starting to cool down and I have been able to utilize my fall and winter wardrobe. One of those items that I have been finding excuses to wear is my Opening Ceremony varsity jacket.
Varsity jackets have become somewhat of a staple. I love the casual appeal it gives outfits, but having a bit more personality than a traditional peacoat. As much as I wish I could wear moto jackets all season long, the cruel reality is that I have to spread my wings. The varsity jacket certainly doesn’t knock off moto jackets for my top contender pick, but it certainly comes in at a close second place.
Being on my covet list for a few years, I had to snatch this jacket up when the opportunity presented itself. Quite a bit heavier than my casual and light weight varsity jackets, this one is the real deal. Not only is the wool extremely warm, but the leather sleeves provide another warm and structured dimension to it. I also couldn’t exactly pass up this fantastic monochromatic color option! Also giving me a great excuse to wear my Nike Air Force 1’s that to my embarrassment, have been sitting in their box unworn.
Maybe monochromatic isn’t your thing. Opening Ceremony releases different colors of their classic OC Varsity Jacket each year, so you can be certain to find a color that suits you. Trust me, it was a toss up and I almost checked out with this grey, black and white combination. Give the varsity jacket trend a try, you’ll feel like you lettered in more than just style!
