Satin Slip Dress
I am not sure how everyone feels about the 90s being back in. But for all those who grew up borrowing your older sisters Seventeen Magazine and watching 90s classics like Clueless, She’s All That, Spice World and 10 Things I Hate About You, it’s easy to say that we identify with this recent trend. So going beyond the crop tops and the plaid shirts, 90s style has come back in full force with overly distressed clothing, chokers everyday, and a mass amount of velvet, fur and feathers.
Recently, I have been obsessed with all things 90s, but the layering in specific. With Winter weather arriving mostly sooner than we hope, layering is essential in keeping warm in the colder months. So naturally trying out this 90s layering trend couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. After finding this affordable satin slip dress online, I knew it would be the perfect basic to try out. I ordered a size up to not be so restricted and give myself more of a loose fit. It also allows for baggier shirts or extra layers. I ended up pairing this slip dress with a long sleeve crop top I already had in my wardrobe. It was also fun to pair my wine ankle boots with the light neutral colors colors to give it a reverse effect with a dark pop.
I am extremely happy at how this 90s look turned out. Now I cannot help myself looking online for another slip dress or literally almost anything that I can layer. Are you equally obsessed with this trend as much as me or tried the slip dress style? Leave me a comment and let me know which 90s outfit revival is your favorite!
