Chocolate Wavy Lays
As described from my Instagram post about yesterdays holiday gift basket, you can just call me the basket boss. Obsessed with gift baskets this year, I am showing you the perfect way to transform these limited Chocolate Wavy Lays into the ultimate co-worker, neighbor, hostess or friend gift!
I Indulged in these limited edition holiday flavors last year and immediately became a huge can of Chocolate Wavy Lays. It was only fate when I saw them on the shelves of Target and knew these would make the ultimate Christmas gift. I mean hello… Chips and Chocolate… Salty & Sweet… Is there any better combination out there? Lay’s Wavy chocolate covered potato chips are available in three delicious and tempting flavors, such as: Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and new for 2016 – Milk Chocolate Covered with Almond Bits!
Curious about transforming these decadent treats into a mini gift basket? Have no fear, that’s the easy part! Follow these simple 3 step-by-step instructions to transform your bags of Chocolate Wavy Lays into the perfect holiday surprise!
Step 1 – Pick these up at Target
I literally have only been able to spot this holiday treat at Target. So be sure to snag one, two or three of your favorite Chocolate Wavy Lays limited time flavors at Target in their holiday section! I also snagged some cereal bowls, fake snow, cellophane wrap, ribbon, and some tissue paper for the full tutorial (most of these items you probably have laying around your house anyways!).
Step 2 – Prepare your bowl
Prepping your bowl is super simple. Just add a bit of tissue paper to elevate the chips out of the bowl a bit to allow them to show through the wrapping. After you have the amount of tissue paper that you are happy with, simply set the chips on top, and add a little bit of fake snow in the bowl. This will give them the appearance of them sitting on snow and not tissue paper (low key obsessed with this part haha).
Step 3 – Wrap it up!
Building your gift is super simple, so for the final step all you need to do is wrap it up. Place your finished bowl in the middle of your cellophane wrap, gather at the top and secure with a bow. Feel free to add a “Merry Chip-mas” gift tag if you like or personalize them how ever you like!
Now gift away and treat those you care about with these delicious treats this holiday season. The best part? The receiver of this treat will already have a cute bowl to eat them in, SCORE! Now I just need to go back to the store and pick of even more of these for my neighbors and friends… and maybe a few bags for myself too!
Merry Chip-mas everyone!
